another sewing project unvneiled
I have been wanting to show you the pictures of the gift that I made for Sarah, but I had to wait until she had it in her possession so that I wouldn't ruin the surprise. It's nothing fancy, but it was the first one that I made and I was pleased with how it came out.

I also made a matching tissue holder like these, but with the pink flowers on the outside, lined with black, and trimmed with the black/white polka dots. The pens that I got came in a set of 8 that is why this pen roll is small. However, a certain 13 year old friend of mine made several rolls like this for her art class that had room for a whole set of colored pencils, plus a couple of larger spaces on the end for her fancy erasers. Clever, huh? So anyway, I love these pencil/pen/crayon rolls. I think I'll make some for my own girls as Christmas gifts. What? Christmas is only 3 months away people!!! Time.To.Start.Sewing.
I have a Christmas project started that is going on my quilting weekend next week;) (3 stockings). Never to early for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! They look lovely!
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I have a few of these lined up for me to sew for Christmas presents. They are wonderful!
ReplyDeletei LOVE this...my fave version of this is the kind that holds crayons. all those wrapped up colors all in a neat row...that's nirvana for those of us who are both anal and artistic...(okay, so maybe i'm just saying "us" so i don't feel so alone here??)
ReplyDeleteanyway, you do good work, girl.
Thanks sooo much for the gift. I loved and the tissue pack came in handy.
ReplyDeleteThanks a Bunch!!
Love,
Sarah
You're welcome, Sarah!
ReplyDeleteI have wanted to make one of these - my kids colored pencils are such a problem in the car. Good idea on using them for gifts, too - I always get caught off guard with birthday parties, and older girls would still like this I think!
ReplyDeleteThat would work for silver ware! Great idea!
