Today is my anniversary.

Seventeen years.

That's almost half of my life.

The time has flown.

God's chosen one for me, wonderful father, best friend, funny, loving, understanding, playful, hard worker, provider, encouraging, skillful, intelligent, thoughtful, leader, loyal, supportive, oh we can't forget handsome.

Yep, that's 17 things. The list goes on and on but I don't want to gag you with all the lovey-dovey mushy stuff that makes him so great. I am blessed beyond measure to be married to Tim. And seriously, the 24 year old Tim in that picture is pretty darn cute if I do say so myself.

Today is my wedding anniversary. Sixteen years.

I can't believe that 16 years have gone by already. It really doesn't feel like it. I mean, when I was a kid it seemed like it took forever to turn 16. Then it took forever to turn 20. But these 16 years were fast. It is amazing to me that Tim and I were married 8 years before we had our girls and now we've been married 8 years with our girls. The first 8 years are a blur and it's difficult to remember how we spent our time. Sure we finished college, worked constantly, moved around a lot, and worked some more, but time seemed to fly. However, those first 8 years were life-changing. Three of those years we spent far away from all friends and family. God placed us in an amazing church with an amazing pastor. We were blessed to be surrounded by some great people that helped shape us as individuals, as a married couple, and as the parents we are now. I wouldn't change a thing. Not one thing. What a wonderful blessing it is to have a husband who is loyal, loving, God-fearing, honoring, funny, understanding, encouraging, supportive, a wonderful provider, an extraordinary father, the leader of our home, and it doesn't hurt that he's downright handsome. Happy Anniversary!

15 years

That's right. Today is my anniversary. Tim and I have been married for fifteen years. We are so blessed to have a wonderful marriage and two beautiful children.

I know that I have been blessed beyond measure with a husband who is my best friend, the smartest person I know, a hilarious comedian, and the best daddy in the world. Happy Anniversary! May the next 15 years be just as fun!

time flies

Guess what?! Today is April 1st. I know, I know, April Fool's Day....not one of my favorite days, but you know what else today is? It's the one year anniversary of this here blog! Clothesline Chronicles is one year old. Crazy, huh? Click here to see the very first post ever. My girls have grown so much, we've accomplished a lot, things have changed, I've changed. I've grown and changed as a wife, a mom, a daughter, a friend. I have strengthened family bonds, made new friends in blogland (some here in this very town and some as far away as Norway!), built stronger relationships with some dear friends. I've been encouraged and challenged to do more and sometimes to do nothing at all. Action is sometimes required so as not to miss an opportunity to help those around you, but stillness is sometimes needed so as not to miss what's right in front of you. So I celebrate this year of Clothesline Chronicles. What fun it has been so far! I'd like to do a little giveaway to commemorate the moment...that might have to wait a little while because I've got girls growing like weeds, family that needs encouragement, and friends that are beginning new chapters. I'll let you know when I have a giveaway...more than likely it'll be when the sun is consistently warm so that my sewing machine and I can spend some quality time together on the front porch during naptime.

14 years and counting

October 21, 1994

was the day Tim and I got married.

(oh what young 'uns we were)

In honor of this most special day, celebrating our 14 years of marriage, I will tell you 14 reasons why I am so blessed.

1. Tim is God's chosen one for me.
2. Tim is the head of our home.
3. Tim is faithful and honest.
4. Tim is very, very funny...although it took a few years for me to "get it"
5. Tim makes me cry...from laughing so much. Being able to laugh together, on a daily basis, is a gift.
6. Tim is a wonderful provider for our family...which enables me to stay at home with our children.
7. Tim is the smartest person I know. He is full of wisdom and common sense.
8. Tim is a man of details in action, not in words.
9. Tim is mechanically inclined and a computer genius. (I have a great deficit in both areas so his knowledge is even more appreciated)
10. Tim takes care of me and loves me the way I am.
11. Tim is a wonderful, playful, soft-hearted Daddy to our girls.
12. Tim is encouraging and supportive in all that we do.
13. Tim is such a wonderful husband that I can't believe we've been married for 14 year
14. Oh, and did I mention that he's pretty darn handsome? Well, he is.

Do I look a little nervous here? Maybe it's hunger...looks like I could use a little meat on my bones.
