thankful thursday

Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. James 1:17

Okay, let me start by saying that we have been studying the book of James at church. Whew, what a book...hence the verse for today. What more to be thankful for than every good thing and perfect gift from our Father in heaven.

It's been a busy day of ups and downs, ins and outs, heat and shade, cooperation and whining, patience and impatience, kindness and rudeness...but at the end of the day as we all settle down for a nice meal together I would like share that I am thankful for:

-wonderful friends to play with
-the blessing of being able to stay at home with my children
-a husband that provides for our needs...and our wants

So, here is another verse in the book of James that is a pillar for me...

But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger, for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God. James 1: 19b-20

What great verses. Being a SAHM is the hardest thing I've ever done ... but I wouldn't change it for the world.

Thanks for visiting ladies. I'm glad the verses were helpful. And Adrienne, you are right...it is the hardest thing ever, and I wouldn't change it either:o)
